News alert - Community and family contribute to teenagers’ sense of wellbeing and academic performance

In an effort to put more attention on how the happiness of kids impacts their ability to learn and what this means for parents and schools, the OECD has published new research examining which countries’ students are the most motivated, the most stressed out, and the happiest (as measured by self-reporting life satisfaction). Rather than simply focusing on academic scores, the findings highlight the importance of other factors which help students thrive, including motivation, teachers, parents, and school culture.
